GEOGRID

HTG (High Tenacity Geogrid) is a geogrid reinforcement for earth structures manufactured with high tenacity polyester yarn and high molecular weight. The polyester yarns are woven into a uniform network of apertures providing unsurpassed reinforcement capacity. The geogrid is engineered to be both mechanically and chemically durable (pH between 3 and 9). The black polymer coating provides further chemical protection and enhanced mechanical connection at junctures. Design Data Files are available for all different modular block systems.

Earth Wall Products used its years of design experience to design the HTG geogrid. HTG has one of the highest connection strengths available per pound of reinforcement with segmental retaining wall blocks in the industry.

Welded Wire Form

WWF (Welded Wire Form) is a steel product used for the construction of geosynthetic reinforced steep slope and retaining wall earth structures, including Reinforced Soil Slopes (RSS). The forms are manufactured with No. 4 steel wire and available in either black, electrogalvanized or hot dipped galvanized meeting ASTM A123. The welded wire form is engineered to provide a form for backfilling soil or rock during the construction of geosynthetic reinforced mechanically stabilized earth structures.

STRUTS

STRUTS are a steel product produced using No. 4 wire with hooked ends to be used in conjunction with welded wire forms. Used in construction of reinforced soil slopes (RSS) earth structures, the struts are used to maintain the 90 degree angle of the welded wire form during backfilling.

FILTER FABRIC

NG (Nonwoven Geotextile) is a needlepunched nonwoven geotextile made of 100% polypropylene staple fibers, which are formed into a random network for dimensional stability. NG resists ultraviolet deterioration, rotting, biological degradation, naturally encountered bases and acids. Nonwoven geotextile is used as a filter and/or separator between soils and drain rock in many drainage and filtration applications.

Biaxial Geogrid

BX (Biaxial Geogrid) is a geogrid that is commonly used to improve the performance of weak subgrades or to reduce pavement base thickness as base reinforcement. Tensile strength is similar in both cross and machine directions giving it the term biaxial. The openings in the geogrid interact with base materials, confining them and preventing lateral dispersion. We also manufacture a BX geogrid product with additional carbon black for UV protection to be used as a face wrap for reinforced soil slopes (RSS) with stone veneer.

GABION BASKETS

GB (Gabion Baskets) made of double-twisted, hexagonal, woven galvanized steel wire mesh, are compartmented baskets with a rectangular box shape. The compartments or cells are filled with natural stone to create a large dimensionally stable mass for retaining wall construction or erosion control.

VEGETATED FACE WRAP

FW (Face Wrap) is a geosynthetic reinforcement product used to wrap or encapsulate the slope surface face of oversteepened earth slope structures or Reinforced Soil Slopes (RSS). Manufactured with polypropylene monofilament thread, the woven geotextile provides a mesh structure for both erosion protection and space for vegetation to grow. The mesh is engineered to be both mechanically and chemically durable, inert to biological degradation and resistant to naturally encountered soils. UV protection is provided in our FW product, which is critical to the long-term, performance of a reinforced slope earth structure.

DRAINAGE COMPOSITE

DC (Drainage Composite) is a superior quality drainage composite made by extruding two sets of HDPE strands together to form a diamond-shaped net. The net is then heat laminated on one side with a 6 ounce nonwoven fabric to produce DC 401 or on both sides with two layers of fabric to produce DC 402. This three dimensional structure provides excellent planar liquid flow.

COLLECTOR DRAIN

CD (Collector Drain) is a modular composite drainage and collection system consisting of a three dimensional high-flow drainage core which is wrapped with a nonwoven filter fabric. It is designed to replace a conventional sand or gravel covered pipe drain around building foundations and retaining walls. Soil particles are held back by filter fabric, allowing water to pass through to the drain core for easy removal by sump or by running to daylight. Available in 12″ widths. A fitting is available for the system to allow a fast and easy installation and connection to 4″ outlet pipe.
